Practice Policies


Cancellations/No Shows: We allow cancellations up to 24 hours prior to your appointment at no charge. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will automatically be charged the full cost of your appointment. If you fail to show for your appointment, you will automatically be charged the full cost of your appointment. Please be mindful and respectful of the fact that the time you chose to schedule your appointment is specifically reserved for you and no one else can reserve this time. In the case of frequent late cancellations, no shows, or failure to pay outstanding amounts due, we may terminate treatment due to noncompliance to practice policies.


Terms Defined

Full Cost: This means the full amount of your session. 


24 Hours: 24 hours means 24 hours from the time of the service, not same day cancellations. Example: if you have an appointment on Tuesday at 10:00 AM, the latest you are allowed to cancel your appointment without incurring any fees is Monday at 9:59 AM.


Punctuality: We ask that you please be punctual for your appointment. If you arrive late, you will be honored only with the remainder of your appointment time, not the full time. However, the financial responsibility will be for the amount of time you scheduled the appointment for, not the amount of time received. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will need to be rescheduled


Financial Responsibilities: You are responsible for the cost of your services, whether self-paying or sharing the cost with your health insurance company. Payment is due at the time that services are rendered. We accept all major credit cards, HSA accounts, cashier's checks, money orders, cash, or personal checks.


Emergencies/Urgent Matters: If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911 or go to your closest hospital. If you are experiencing an urgent matter, please call 211 to speak with a crisis hotline counselor. 211 is available 24/7 and is a free service offered by United Way in the State of Florida. Our normal business hours are 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday. You are welcome to leave a message on our office voicemail after hours, and your call will be returned within one business day.


Additional Policies: We understand there may be extenuating circumstances for some clients. Please contact us to discuss your particular situation. If you are having a financial issue, we will do our best to provide financial assistance for services or a payment plan for patients who are in need.
